Social Networking and Influences
Daniel Walsch has worked as executive director of media relations
and, currently, as press secretary at George Mason University since
January 1989. As the university‟s press secretary, he serves as Mason‟s
voice during times of crisis and other newsworthy situation. In these
capacities, he has and does play a vital role in all publicity efforts
on behalf of the university. An accredited public relations professional
as recognized by the Public Relations Society of America, he is listed
in Who’s Who in Public Relations in America. Walsch earned a
bachelor‟s degree in journalism at the University of Tennessee, a
master‟s degree in education administration at Bowie State University,
and a master‟s degree in mass communication at Towson State University.
He is currently working toward a doctorate degree in communication. Many
